Does anybody know how to get a hold of book publishing companies, or how to get a self publish your own books for free? What do you do about copyright laws if you were interested in publishing a Disney book?

Does anyone know how to publish stories? I  am thinking of possibly publishing books, but I have no idea how to do it. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
